This mobile application is designed to support families with children newly diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA). The app serves as a crucial educational and support tool, currently being utilized in an observational study to assess its effectiveness in helping families navigate the challenges of Type 1 Diabetes management.
The primary goal of this application is to provide:
- Educational resources for families new to Type 1 Diabetes management
- Support tools for daily diabetes care
- Information and guidance during the critical initial period after diagnosis
- A platform for collecting observational study data to improve diabetes care
The application is actively being used in an observational study at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, helping to gather valuable data on how families adapt to and manage Type 1 Diabetes diagnoses.
