@martyn-w the top link in 'Related content' to the fees and funding page is not working – I'm not sure why, could you have a look?

Hi @martyn-w apols but this is failing one of its tests. @MaxineCl ready to deploy if you are happy. I will follow up with a 2nd PR on the ENIC/webchat updates elsewhere.

- Comparability

Before you apply for teacher training in England, you must check that you have the [the right qualifications](#qualifications-youll-need-to-train-to-teach) and they meet the standard set for English teacher training.

ooh thank you

When you apply for teacher training, you'll be asked to submit details of your statement of comparability. Applications which include this are 28% more likely to be successful.

A statement of comparability costs £49.50 + VAT. It takes 15 working days to complete your order from the date ENIC receives your qualification documents and payment.

@laurahermionetennant92 do we need to include this info here as ideally we want them to click the link and apply so they'll have all this info on the ENIC page?

I think it's helpful for them to have an idea of cost and timings up front as meeting deadlines is an issue for them. Also makes it consistent with Apply.

@laurahermionetennant92 do we need to stress it's the standard rate for your country? So it's clear it won't cost them any extra to make an international call? And because it's something that could potentially deter people would it be better to split line 82 into 2 sentences and then have this line straight after the phone number?

I think that sounds odd :)

* [Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)](https://www.ets.org/toefl)
* [C2 Proficiency, formerly known as Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE)](https://www.cambridgeenglish.org/exams-and-tests/proficiency/)

If you haven’t passed an English language test like this, or do not have qualifications in maths or science which are the same standard as grade 4 GCSE, some teacher training providers will let you sit tests in these subjects. It’s best to contact them to ask about their policy before you apply.

@laurahermionetennant92 Do we stil need this section? We have the section on Get help checking your qualifications and it says if you contact us we can check your qualifications and if you qualify for an adviser. So it feels like this is just repeating it.

And do we want to send them to apply if they haven't checked their qualifications yet?

yes good point

Citizens of every country in the world can apply to train to teach in England. When you plan your training, bear in mind that:

@laurahermionetennant92 the 'to train' might be better after the amount so it reads: international candidates can expect to pay an average of £14,765 to train, plus living costs

@laurahermionetennant92 it's not on here as you haven't made any amends to that bit but I saw it when I was looking at the page. In the section below this one in the Find out about fees and financial support section it says:

Your teacher training course must lead to [qualified teacher status (QTS)](https://www.gov.uk/guidance/qualified-teacher-status-qts). Some courses combine QTS with a [postgraduate certificate in education (PGCE) or postgraduate diploma in education (PGDE)](/train-to-be-a-teacher/what-is-a-pgce). These are optional: you do not need a PGCE or PGDE to teach in England.

@laurahermionetennant92 not sure if this is right that it must lead to QTS? Some courses are PGCE without QTS but you need QTS to teach in maintained schools in England and you get all the extra support as an ECT?

I see what you meant that there are some schools were you don't need QTS – however, choosing a course which doesn't lead to QTS would massively disadvantage them in every sector of the teaching job market. It would be a mad thing to do.
