Tetris® 35th Anniversary Redesign Logo
Alexey Pajitnov called this game "Tetris®," a combination of "tetra" (the Greek word meaning "four") and "tennis" (his favorite sport). This program is based on the first version of the game released for Electronika 60 in 1985 (USSR). This program is a tribute to Alexey Pajitnov and Henk Rogers. Besides this, It was created to give this to my elder sister as her birthday gift on her birthday. It was my second personal project.
Watch the official movie of this game - Tetris™ on Apple TV+. Before that, I suggest you to watch "The Story of Tetris®" from the Gaming Historian channel. Also, read the "History of Tetris®" from the official website of Tetris®. These will help you to understand the movie. Then, you can watch the "Unsolved Tetris® Mysteries" video from the Ars Technica channel if you are interested. Besides this, follow the official website of Tetris® for news and updates from The Tetris Company and other/s. Then, you can try out the "Tetris® E60" on the official website of Tetris®.
The game you couldn't put down. The story you couldn't make up.
Don't forget to celebrate "World Tetris Day" every year on June 6th. One of the greatest early video games is turning 40 years old this year (2024).
