Disclaimer: ONF is disbanding and merging into Linux Foundation. Until is not fully clarified and agreed under which entity this project will land, no final decisions will be taken by the TAPI team for the TAPI next versions. TAPI team will at most agree recommendations, with final agreement postponed.

  • General update
    • Continue the discussion on TAPI future
  • Photonic Model: continue the fix/update of the transceiver provisioning model
    • consolidate transceiver profile and transceiver parameters model
    • GOSNR (Generalized OSNR) approach and possible enhancements to the explicit profile
  • Consolidate the agreements regarding digital payload of photonic media (OTSiMCA Connectivity Service)
  • Continue the review the comments to draft TR-547 provided by Roshan
  • Manual editing to improve autogenerated .yaml modules (see here and here)
  • Node - Device linkage
    • Review of UML/RIA related updates
  • UC 11a: “Modification of service path” and UML/YANG comments
  • UC 11b: “Modification of service nominal route to secondary (protection) route for maintenance operations”
  • Model for Multi-technology Network Interface

  • Andrea will retire at the end of this month and Nigel will suspend his working activity for 6 months / one year
  • Nigel confirms that Ciena has nominated Brian Johnson to take on some TAPI activities whilst Nigel is not available
  • No other news wrt past week, confirmed that:
    • Arturo will schedule a TST meeting in September, to discuss the way forward for the TAPI project
    • Andrea and Nigel will prepare an announcement, to inform community of TAPI suspended state
