Changes

Added a new task to K12 cumulus.yml file to reference an EDA task that adds new picklist value for hed__Citizenship_Status__c on Contact.
We are moving unpackaged objects to a separate folder and make the deployment of those objects as optional so that they won't overwrite OWD settings.

New Education Cloud Settings and EDA Settings

You asked and we listened. Welcome to the new Education Cloud Settings page, a new experience that provides entry points to valuable resources like Settings Health Check, product documentation, Trailhead modules, and more. In addition to these resources, the new page now serves as your entry point for EDA Settings, where you’ll see these great new enhancements:

  • New task-based navigation that’s presented in a table of contents view to make it easier to find the settings you need.
  • Popup windows and additional validation for specific settings to increase accessibility and reduce the potential of incorrectly configuring settings.
  • Updated labels that provide a unified, consistent user experience, making the tasks you can perform more clear.
  • Links from the UI to the EDA product documentation when settings warrant increased understanding before you implement them.
    If you're starting with the trial version of K-12 Architecture Kit 1.21 (Summer ‘21), the Education Cloud Settings tab is enabled for the System Administrator profile by default. If you started with an earlier version or you're starting with K-12 Architecture Kit 1.21 through the installer, verify access to the new tab, hide the previous EDA Settings tab, and add the new Education Cloud Settings tab to your K-12 Architecture Kit app as described here.

Update Tab Access

If you started with a version of K-12 Architecture Kit 1.21 or earlier using the installer, verify that all profiles have access to the tabs they need.

  1. From Setup, search for and select Profiles.
  2. Click a profile name, such as System Administrator and click Edit.
  3. In Custom Tab Settings, set Education Cloud Settings to Default On and EDA Settings to Tab Hidden.
  4. Save your changes.

Add the Education Cloud Setting Tab to the App

  1. From Setup, search for and select App Manager.
  2. Select Edit from the K-12 Architecture Kit action menu.
  3. From Navigation Items | Available Items, move Education Cloud Settings to Selected Items.
  4. Save your changes.
