Description

[Publishing Service 2.0] The 'publish:end' event is raised before clearing of the data caches on the CM(Publishing Instance).
The patch suppresses raising the 'publish:end' event and make CM instance raise the 'publish : end : remote' event locally.

Compatibility

The release was built for and tested with the following Sitecore products in bare condition (no hotfixes, patches or other customizations, unless explicitly specified):

  • Sitecore CMS 8.2 rev. 161221 (Update-2) + Publishing Service 2.0

Installation

For CM(Publishing Instance) of a solution:

  1. Make a backup of the files mentioned in Contents section that already exist in Website folder.
  2. Extract the contents of the archive to the Website folder, overwrite existing files if any conflicts occur.
  3. Ensure that all handlers of the 'publish:end' event are configured for handling the 'publish : end : remote' event.

Uninstallation

  1. Remove the files listed in the Contents section.
  2. Restore the original files from the backup made during installation.

  • The patch should be installed only if recommended by Sitecore Support.
