Start And Take Off
- Turn Master key On
- Turn Strobe/Nav lights On
- Start engine (S-Key)
- Turn Master avionics On
- Turn Panel lights On
- Prerotate rotor above 220 rpm (hold S-Key)
- Release parking-brake ('B'-key)
- Add power to accelerate and pull the stick back 1/3 and left
- Wait to accelerate then add full power
- Wait for the rotor to reach sufficient rpm (~350)
- Use the stick to slowly pull up and fly
Landing
- Reduce power to 1/4
- Wait to slow down. Don't force forward pitch.
- When you slow down to 40-50 pitch down and hold ~50kt
- Over the runway round off then reduce power and pitch up a little
- Touch down and wait for rotor to slow down somewhat.
- Pull the stick full back to use rotor to slow down.
Good to know
The rotor accelerates faster the more you pull the stick
This aircraft doesn't stall, but the rotor can slow down.
The rotor rpm should be kept over 450...
Max rotor rpm 600 or 3-G. Max speed 110kts.
Move the stick left at takeoff to counter prop inertia.
Avoid sudden movements. This can cause Pilot Induced Oscillation (PIO).
Never force forward pitch. This can cause negative G.
Use throttle first, stick later.
Avoid flying at zero G! It is dangerous!
Negative and zero G can cause a Power Pushover (PPO).
Avoid adjusting Propeller pitch in big steps (mouse clicks cycle pitch min-med-high) use mouse wheel for minor increments
