This plugin will act upon files with the .rptdesign file extension. When you click "Schedule" or "Background" for one of these files it will create a background job to run the report and create a report document file. You can then view this file in the BIRT viewer. Note: Due to a limitation in the Pentaho plugin architecture, this plugin is not able to give the generated file a name with the .rptdocument extension, however the plugin that allows this file to be viewed depends on it having that extension, so, it's up to you to give it the right name or rename it later.

Note: This plugin has been tested with Pentaho 5.3 and 5.4 and is known to be incompatible with Pentaho 6.0.
