What would this enhancement be for?

Hammer

Describe your enhancement suggestion in more detail

I'd love to have an ability to either ctrl, shift, or alt select the checkmark on a compiler exe to isolate it.
This would make just running the game_exe step with all the launch arguments easier.

Would it be better to add a feature to the UI somewhere (keybind/button) that lets you only run the last command in the list?

That would also work - as long as I have a way to only launch the game with the same commands

short term solution: could always add another compile config that has only the game. then you could pick it in the drop down to get to a run only setup
