What would this enhancement be for?

Describe your enhancement suggestion in more detail

A near Z field similar to env_projected_texture for static lights - light won't cast WITHIN a certain distance of the light.

Can make 'fake' constant lighting easier to control, like in this image:

A near Z would stop the light from touching the wall beside the window.
