Project Overview This project marks my first step into data analytics using Excel, where I explored its powerful yet easy-to-use features. By working with store data, I learned how to clean data, create pivot tables, design charts, and gain valuable business insights. This journey helped me understand how Excel can simplify complex data analysis tasks while providing clear, actionable insights.
Key Insights and Analysis Through this project, I answered several important business questions, including:
Monthly Orders: Identifying the month with the highest number of orders. Customer Insights: Find out who the regular customers are and analyze their spending. Gender Analysis: Understanding purchasing patterns and expenditure differences between genders. Top States: Highlighting the top 5 states with the most frequent shoppers. Delivery Channels: Discovering the most efficient delivery methods for the store. Order Status: Review the number of orders that were delivered, refunded, returned, or cancelled. Skills I Developed While working on this project, I enhanced my skills in:
Data Cleaning: Organizing and preparing messy data for analysis. Pivot Tables: Summarizing and analyzing large amounts of data efficiently. Data Visualization: Creating clear and engaging graphs and slicers for better understanding. Insight Extraction: Identifying key trends and patterns to make informed business decisions. Excel Functions: Using formulas and built-in tools to simplify calculations and improve analysis. Conclusion This project has been an exciting learning experience, showing me how Excel can turn raw data into meaningful insights. The simplicity and effectiveness of Excel make it an excellent tool for anyone starting in data analytics. I’m excited to apply these skills to more challenging datasets and projects in the future.
