## Why does this exist?

I've been using my GoPro to record videos for years. I shoot a lot of long-form climbing and mountain videos. Any video longer than a few minutes gets split into multiple files, which are unpleasant to deal with when it's time to edit. It's a tedious and time-consuming process to reassemble the videos. ### Why can't you just sort the files by last modified time?
### Why can't you sort the files by creation time in the video editor?

Not all video editors support sorting this way in the native file selector dialog. It's great that you can do this in the file explorer, but you still have a problem at edit time.
- Not all video editors conveniently support this workflow. [Here's how you do this in Premiere Pro](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-qcGNaneMc). It's not exactly a one-click operation.
- When I recorded the footage, the chaptered video files were one continuous clip. So I should be working with them as one file.
