Add support to new I2C, SPI and UART peripheral names #991

New peripheral names are strings now, such as uart1, spi2 or i2c1.

These changes are made under both the "Apache 2.0" and the "GNU Lesser General
Public License 2.1 or later" license terms (dual license).

SPDX-License-Identifier: Apache-2.0 OR LGPL-2.1-or-later

This looks fine to me.

New peripheral names are strings now, such as `uart1`, `spi2` or `i2c1`.
