The supertree toolkit is a Python module and GUI to edit, create, curate and process data ready for inclusion in supertree analyses. It also contains tools for post-processing and analysing supertrees.
Currently the software in in alpha and is meant to replace all the functionality of v1 (http://sourceforge.net/projects/stck/) which was published in BMC Research Notes (http://www.biomedcentral.com/1756-0500/3/95).
You need to add the Supertree Toolkit PPA (https://launchpad.net/~stk-developers/+archive/release) to your system. You can then install the package. Run the commands below to do all this.
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:stk-developers/release
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get -y install supertree-toolkit
