Thanks for your interest in our grants program. However, we usually don't fund things that aren't beneficial for others in some way. For example, Talent acquisition or the initial research phase of a project. Also, the default deliverables are mandatory for all milestones and currently your deliveries don't contain anything specific to Polkadot/Kusama. Could you also add more technical details, like the programming language to the milestone deliveries?

@vav12 thanks, I've taken a look and believe that it's not a good match for our program. The main reasons are:

  • most deliverables are non-technical (e.g. Talent acquisition, data collection, etc.), while we focus on technical projects
  • the deliverables are also mostly vague and not very specific (e.g.
    2. | Research | Conduct a final research on set of rules to start off with)
  • your plans for auto-classification using LLMs lack detail
  • I feel like the added benefit for the community around Substrate and the Polkadot network is very limited

Hence, I've come to the decision not to approve this proposal. Nevertheless, I wish you good luck for the future of your project and wish you're going to be successful.

Thanks for the application @vav12 While I appreciate all the work that PhishFort does for our ecosystem, I agree with the others that this project isn't really the best fit for the grants program, because most of the deliverables can't be re-used by others, and they aren't really specific to substrate or Polkadot tech. Also, I see that the Nighthawk public beta has already been released, so it seems that the initial PoC has already been built.

I know you guys are in touch with the W3F anti-scam team so I would recommend discussing with them about what the community wants out of this project, perhaps opening a discussion on the Polkadot forum, and then possibly going for treasury funding since the Discord community is already familiar with the tool.
