AN Player first version launched in 2017 is called ICache with very basic features such as the ability only to stream content from a single source.

The first version of AN Player is built on Xamarin using C# while with time the app was migrated to Java and lately on Kotlin.
We try to always keep the technology up to date to ensure the best performance for AN Player users.
Plugins are some features not necessarily included in the application. Imagine a plugin same as a browser extension, where is up to you to decide about that feature.
Plugins allow AN Player to be very flexible, to provide you only the content you are interested in.
Plugins are not necessarily developed by me. They can be developed by anyone.
Plugins can have versions, whether a new version of any Plugin is available, AN Player will notify you.
Workspaces are a feature of AN Player which allows you to organize better the content. A workspace is connected to a Folder on your device selected explicitly by you.
Imagine having some folders like Summer Songs | Hip-Hop Music Video | Movies on your device. Workspaces allow you to connect the app with one specific folder at a time allowing the App to read & store data only in that folder. Downloaded content is stored on the selected workspace.
By default, internal app storage is used as Workspace. In the case of App Uninstall, you may lose all data downloaded.
Some of the plugins have the ability to provide an authentication feature. When authenticated, you get personalized content & access to your cloud content.
You can authenticate as many accounts as you wish while having the ability to switch between them on the fly.
AN Player does use an embedded browser to authenticate with Plugins.
Scanning QR Codes are part of AN Player. Sometimes is easier to Scan a QR Code and directly have the access to a Video, Song, Artist, or Playlist.
Works with any Video (downloaded or not). That means you can watch your favorite content from other devices in your network whether you have AN Player installed on the other device or not. All you need is a Browser and be connected to the same network.
You can share and stream the selected video including subtitles to your local network.
When streaming for share, AN Player will act as a Server to provide the content to other devices.
This feature works the best with Chromium browsers.

AN Player provides two types of Subtitles.
Video subtitles are provided from Plugins whether for Songs (mp3) the AN Player will try to find automatically the Subtitles from the Internet. This works for any song on your device.
