What:

Fifteen DaSH events have been held since September 2014, the most recent in Utrecht, NL October 2024.

A two-and-a-half-day hackathon will be held at the Stanford Blood Center, Palo Alto, CA, 22nd to 24th January 2025. This event is being co-organized with Kazutoyo Osoegawa and NMDP. The main topic of this hackathon is to discuss the database for the 19th International HLA & Immunogenetics Workshop (taking place in 2026). The IHIW will deal with Diversity and Integration. They are still accepting new project proposals.

The main topics of this hackathon are as follows.

  • HAML – HLA Antibody Markup Language
  • Preparation for WHO specificities coming April 2025
  • 19th IHIW Projects that require database/informatics support
    • LILR/LRC needs to short and long-term plans for nomenclature

This focus does not preclude people coming and working on their own topic in a room of like-minded people. Due to the interactive and collaborative nature of this event there will not be an online option.
