DaSH13 sm banner The main topic of work will be improving the Gene Feature Enumeration Service, and its general applicability. GFE is an anchor/foundation for building bridges to other clinical variation standards. The Global Alliance for Genomics and Health has started an Immunogenomics working group, which is focusing on GFE for linking HLA variation to other loci. The focus is using VRS as a universal language for genomics/clinical genomics. We also hope to look at the PanGenome and KIR in these contexts.

From 8:00 am on Wednesday 13th, finishing about 12:30pm on Friday 15th September 2023. We are encouraging participation by providing all meals during the hackathon, and two buses from Minneapolis Airport to Rochester on Tuesday 12th September, and for the return journey after the hackathon finishes.

Virtual Data Standards Hackathon 2022

17 & 18 February 2022

Following several previous in person DaSHes, including two virtual DaSHes, we announce the date for the next virtual hackathon.

What:

The primary purpose of this hackathon is to get ready for the 18th International HLA & Immunogenetics Workshop. However, people are free to hack on any data standards to help transfer HLA and KIR data, and to create code to transfer, transform, annotate and report this data.

When:

The meeting runs from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm central US time on both Thursday 17th, and Friday 18th February 2022, about 3 months before the workshop.

#Where: Online, wherever you have a computer and access to the internet. We will be using Gathertown to run the meeting. Fuller descriptions and more specific goals will follow, this event is free to attend.
