MTDG: Global Templates

Introduction

Global templates are templates that are created in Melody under "System View." They're template modules and widgets which are available to the entire Melody installation. For example, let's say that you want to create a single Google Adsense module and include it in five sites simultaneously. You can create one template under System View and it'll be available to all of them automatically.

Melody first looks at the blog level templates for a widget or module. Then it automatically goes to the system level. Widgets that are created at the system level will be shown in the Widget Set editor by default.

How To Create One

  1. Click on the system menu in the top right corner.
  2. Select templates or widgets based on which one you wish to create.
  3. Click on the create link on either page.
  4. Fill out the form like you would in blog view.
  5. Save.
